Here are our responses to some of the most commonly asked questions potential new members ask about joining our social club.

• • Unfortunately, there are some administrative costs associated with with managing our Club (including this website!) which are funded by member fees, and any remaining fees collected are applied towards group events.  As a non-profit organization, we believe in financial transparency and therefore publish yearly financial statements to all of our members with a full accounting of the Club's income and expenses.  If you'd like more information about how we use membership fees prior to joining, click here
  • Fortunately, many of our events are hosted at local libraries or member residences which are completely free to join through the Club.  

• • Absolutely not!  However, we do host the majority of our events on weekends or in the evenings to try and accommodate the schedules of more working moms.  Regardless of your employment status, if you're interested in coming to our events during these times, we'd love to have you join us! 

• • No, but you'll get a lot more out of joining if you do commit to participating in at least some of our events.  Studies have shown it can take somewhere between 40 to 60 hours to make a casual friend, about 80-100 hours to become a friend-friend, and 200 hour or more to be come close friends (today.com).  With numbers like those, we try to help support busy working moms that may not have a lot of time for socializing by keeping our social calendar full of fun, interesting events hosted at different times to accommodate different schedules.  Hopefully you can find an event that works for your schedule.  We'd love to start clocking some friendship building hours with you!  

• • No, but the majority of our events are hosted within the listed geographic range.  If you do live outside our targeted area, you are still welcome to join our events so long as you are willing to travel to this area to participate.

• • The moms in our Club have children that span a wide range of ages from newborns to teenagers.  However, the majority of our children's events are geared toward elementary ages and younger, and we host a variety of age-based and mix-age playgroups for different programming options.  

What if you can't afford to pay the membership fee?

• • The primary goal of our Club is to enrich the lives of working moms through socialization in our community, regardless of ability to pay.  Therefore, we offer fee exemptions in cases of financial hardship.  Please reach out to us if you think you may qualify.
